Where are they now?

Whereas it is usually fairly easy to find out the previous clubs of a player, it is much more difficult to keep track of them once they have left the club. Browsing through the Non-League Club Directory or Rothmans Football Yearbook sometimes reveals some details. So to help me keep the Roll Call up-to-date, if you have any information about past players which I haven't already got then please get in touch (E-mail: ken@kafox.freeserve.co.uk). I will put the latest information below, before updating the Roll Call entry. Don't restrict yourselves to their footballing careers. If you know what job an ex-Pilgrim is now doing then let me know.

Neil Featherstone

After being released by Grantham Town, Neil Featherstone has signed up with Dr. Martens Eastern Division side Spalding United. He is a replacement for former Pilgrim Steve Williams, who joined the Tulips from Kettering Town at the beginning of the season before moving on to Hucknall Town.

Andy Mason and Martin Filson

Both of these former Pilgrims' strikers are now playing for Stalybridge Celtic in the Unibond League Premier Division.

Danny Marshall, Rob Orton, Jason Pascoe, Darren Davis and Gavin Ottewell

After being released by the Pilgrims last season, Danny Marshall has moved on to Hucknall Town of the Unibond League Premier Division. He joins up with other former Pilgrims Rob Orton and Jason Pascoe. Darren Davis is now at Arnold Town and Gavin Ottewell is with Quorn in the Leicestershire League.

After a long career playing for a variety of League clubs, Devan White has signed up with Dr. Martens League rivals Ilkeston Town. Mark Phillips

Don't US clubs have strange names! After joining the Pilgrims from XOGGZ, Mark Phillips returned to the US and signed up with a team called Indiana Blast after XOGGZ decided to call it a day. He was voted "Most Valuable Player" by the fans after scoring 9 goals in 20 games in the 1997 season. He was top scorer with 16 goals in 1998 as he captained the team to promotion to the A-League. He has just been selected to play for the A-League/USIL Select Team as part of the 1999 Umbro Select All-Star Classic. On his page on the Indiana Blast web site he says his biggest thrill in soccer was his first game for the Pilgrims.
