People often wonder what I get up to between matches. This week I thought I'd give you a run-down of what my day-to-day schedule involves.
Monday 28 February: Drove to Boston in the morning for my weekly meeting with the local press and also instructed John Blackwell to put in seven days notice of approach for a player. In the afternoon met with an existing sponsor and a potential new sponsor before setting off to Worcester City's league game with Cambridge.
Tuesday 29 February: Working from home, speak to managers and contacts in the Football League and Conference to see what players are available. In the afternoon I take in Rushden & Diamonds Reserves against Stevenage before taking our first and reserve team squads training at York Street in the evening.
Wednesday 1 March: Today I'll be in Boston speaking to John Blackwell to tell him which players will be in the first team and reserve squads for the weekend. In the afternoon watch Notts County Reserves v Rotherham Reserves before taking in Northampton Town Reserves against Luton Reserves at night.
Thursday 2 March: This will be my day off from football!
Friday 3 March: I'll be back in Boston for various meetings with people at the football club and more meetings with potential sponsors.
I hope that gives you an insight into how much effort I give to the football club - and that's as a "part-time" manager! If we go up we would have to look very seriously at me becoming a full-time manager.
